SEWAGE PUMPS
Sewage pumps are designed to be placed into a sewage basin,
typically in the basement ofyour home, to assist in the removal of
dirty water from your home.
Sewage pumps have a 2" solids handling capability. They operate
with a switch – a tethered switch is ideal for sewage
applications, as they are less likely to get hung up, which will
extend the life of your sewage pump.
Sewage pumps are available in a variety of constructions from
corrosion resistant thermoplastic, heavy-duty stainless steel,
and durable cast iron.
When choosing a sewage pump, consider the volume and
horsepower you need. More active sewage systems require a
higher pumping capacity than a less active system. A higher
horsepower pump moves more volume faster. If replacing a sewage
pump you should choose a model equal to or greater than the
horsepower of your current model.
Check valve replacement is recommended whenever a sewage
pump is replaced.
